Rebecca Rauscher, M.Ed., RCC

Welcome! Please allow me to introduce myself to you. I have over twelve years experience as a helping professional, first as an Occupational Therapist and then as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Working with people is my passion! I love joining my clients on their journey to health and wellbeing by supporting them to meet their goals, to re-integrate into their lives, to improve their relationship with themselves and others, and to regain their functioning.

Being a middle child in a family of four (older brother and younger twin sisters), I have always been there to provide a listening ear and to support my siblings. Early on in my life, I had the opportunity to foster my empathic understanding, patience, and curiosity about others. I enjoyed supporting others, hearing about their successes and missteps, and having a good cry when needed!

My life experiences allowed me to grow into an individual who is open-hearted, open-minded, and accepting of all people. Growing up in a “non-traditional” family has given me an expanded awareness of family, love, and friendship. I am an adult child of divorce and an adult child of a gay parent. From my life experiences, I have learned to be resilient, to channel my inner resources, but also to know when to reach out for help.

I know what it is like to sit with a therapist. It can be scary, challenging, and overwhelming. It can also be life changing, illuminating, exciting, creative, and uplifting.

I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and with all kinds of concerns, issues, disabilities, and abilities. I believe that all people have the capacity to cultivate their inner strengths and to empower themselves to lead life to the fullest. I invite you to connect with me and take a journey towards the life you desire.
